If we want to make this blog non poker stuff, that's cool with me. But until that is the status quo, may as well share poker stuff. Last night I got in and met up with JShuttlesworth (Owen) where I am staying until we move in. (So just 2 nights) We play a short - very short session at the Venetian. I sit in the 2/5 NL 1000 buyin, and find a way to get stacked. Game is 8 handed or so, and I get AA and QQ in the 30 minutes or so I'm there. 2 limpers, in the SB I make it 35 with QQ, BB and limpers call. Flop is 9d 9h 8d, I lead for 110 in 140 pot. EP limper calls, the other 2 fold. Turn is an offsuit 7, I check, he bets 220 with another 350 behind. I fold... 2 limpers to me I make it 40 in the CO with red aces. Asian SB calls as do the limpers. 165 in there, comes Kc Jc 7x, checked to me, I bet 150, SB pushes for ~850 total (lol wtf?) the two guys fold, I call. He has 77 of course - Great way to begin the poker trip!
Today was slightly better in the 5-10 and 10-20 Bellagio, but wow, people are so nitty. I hope the house rejuvenates me (and my luck!)
