There's about 2 weeks until I leave for vegas and i have yet to book my flight or anything else that needs to be done. This always happens to me, its been swirling around in my head for almost a month, yet still nothing is done. I was in a similar situation as devinlake these past few weeks. Not entirely confident about my finances, but a couple good scores in MTTs and now i feel pretty confident. Although they're not nearly as big as his, 40k is just sick!
I told my stepdad i was going to vegas last weekend. He has a pretty conservative outlook on the world, so of course he flipped out. Apparently he thinks Im going to be doing coke off a dirty toilet, the people im staying with are going to rob me while i sleep, and Im going to wind up dead in a back alley somewhere. It took him about 3 months before he stopped be pissed at me playing poker online. So hopefully he'll cool off by the time this trip is over so when i win the Main Event I can actually enjoy it.

I suppose it wouldn't be wise to tell him this, but your step dad has a much more distorted view of the world than we do :) That or he has no trust in you at all.....
